Silver tetradrachm , 29 mm., posthumous issue minted at Erythrae, Ionia (western coast of modern day Turkey), ca. 215-190 BC.
Obv. Head of young Herakles right in lion skin headdress.
Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle and scepter, club and bow within bowcase (attributes of the hero Herakles) and ΑΘΕ above IKE control monogram, all in left field.
Price 1904.
NGC graded CHOICE VF, ex mount, a very rare issue with none in Coin Archives and only 2 specimens cited in the Pella database.
