CARIA. CAUNUS ( KAUNOS ). Ca. 450-390 BC.
Silver Stater, 11.82 g, 22 mm.
Obv. Winged goddess (perhaps Iris, goddess of of the rainbow) in kneeling-running stance to left, head turned back, holding wreath and caduceus.
Rev. Rough triangular structure, perhaps a baetyl with handle-like forms near tip, floating in dotted background, all within incuse square.

NGC graded XF, Strike 3/5, Surface 3/5, a classical period issue with a very attractive rendering of the winged goddess that typically graces the coinage of Caunus.
