Silver tetradrachm, 16.07 g., 30 mm.
Obv. Draped bust of Artemis right, within decorated Macedonian shield.
Rev. ΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΩΝ ΠΡΤΗΣ above and below club, AP monogram above, all within wreath, thunderbolt in extreme left field.
Prokopov, Silver 159 (O46/R135).
NGC graded MINT STATE STAR, Strike 5/5, Surface 4/5, a stunning coin with exceptional eye appeal, finest graded by NGC so far. Population reports for this otherwise common coin show a remarkably low population in high grades, with only two specimens graded at mint state level, this one being the only sole one also awarded a star. There are none presently that grade higher.
