Obv. Nude warrior on horseback right, with spear raised to strike, ΣA below.
Rev. Taras on dolphin left, holding kantharos, Ω above arm, and Σ below, small dolphin in lower right field.
Fischer-Bossert Group 73, 886 (V347/R688); Vlasto 614–6 (same dies); HN Italy 937; SNG ANS 1003 (same dies); SNG Fitzwilliam 282 (same dies).
NGC graded AU, Strike 5/5, Surface 3/5, FINE STYLE, golden iridescent highlights and great detail on a specimen of a charming variety featuring a secondary dolphin below the larger one of the main type (a “double dolphin” type).
