Rev. Eagle on prow to left, PNΘ above club in left field, KP above monogram in right field, Phoenician letter B below eagle’s legs.

NGC graded XF, Strike 3/5, Surface 3/5. This shekel was struck in year 159, that corresponds to AD 33-34, AD 33 being the traditional date of Jesus’ Crucifixion. Although there is no consensus on exactly when Christ was crucified, these coins are generally considered as the “Crucifixion Shekels.”
