NGC graded CHOICE FINE, Strike 4/5, Surface 3/5, a rare emission being the first ROMAN ALEXANDRIAN COIN, struck soon after the defeat of Marc Antony and Cleopatra at Actium. As such it is also the FIRST Roman provincial coin of Egypt. The obverse legend proclaims that Augustus is the “SON OF GOD”, that is the son of the deified Julius Caesar.
