Silver “New Style” Tetradrachm, 16.85 g, 33 mm. Issue of ca. 135/4 BC, struck under magistrates MENED–, EPIGENO–, and THEOPHR–,with control symbol Asclepius.
Obv. Helmeted head of Athena Parthenos right. Rev. AӨE, owl standing right, head facing, magistrates’ names in fields, Asclepius (god of health and medicine) standing left, A on amphora, ΓΛ in exergue, all within olive wreath.
