CHOICE XF, struck in high relief, glossy dark gray tone with rose iridescent highlights, an extremely rare variety with these control marks.
C. Calpurnius Piso, L.f. Frugi is believed to have been the son of L. Calpurnius Piso Frugi, the moneyer of c. 90 BC and the son-in-law of the famous Roma orator, M. Tullius Cicero.
