Silver Tetradrachm, 16.04 g, 30 mm. Issue dated to regnal year 35, ca. 105/4 BC.
Obv. Diademed draped bust of Mostis right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ MOΣTIΔOΣ, Athena enthroned left, holding Nike crowning Mostis’ name, MHK monogram in left field, EΠI ΣAΔΛAOY / ETOYΣ [E]Λ in exergue.

NGC graded XF, Strike 4/5, Surface 2/5, “marks,” a rare emission of an elusive Thracian king, this variety features an unusual rendering of the name of magistrate Sadalos as Sadlaos.
Mostis is believed to have been a king of the Caenian Thracians on the northwestern coast of the Propontis. Almost nothing is known of his reign beyond that he struck silver and bronze coins. He probably fell from power after the Caenian Thracian kingdom was conquered by the Roman praetor T. Didius in 101/0 BC and subsequently
