(A) ISLAND OF AEGINA. Circa 350-338 BC. Silver obol, 11 mm, 0.73 g. Obv. Tortoise with segmented shell; to right, A. Rev. Incuse square with skew pattern. Milbank pl. II, 9; HGC 6, 452 var. (letters on rev.).
VF, with light iridescent toning.
(B) ISLAND OF AEGINA. Circa 404-338 BC. Silver triobol or hemidrachm, 12 mm, 2.47 g. Obv. Tortoise with segmented shell. Rev. Incuse square with skew pattern; two pellets flanking a diagonal line in one square. Cf. Milbank pl. II, 16 (drachm); HGC 6, 449.
Fine, with dark glossy cabinet patina.
