AE 15, 1.89 g, 15 mm. Issue of Antioch, 6th officina, ca. 337-340 BC.
Obv. DV CONSTANTINVS PT AVGG, veiled head of Constantine the Great right. Rev. Constantine in quadriga right, extending his had up towards God, represented by the manus dei, SMANS in exergue.

NGC graded MINT STATE STAR, Strike 5/5, Surface 5/5, a superb example of a popular type depicting the apotheosis of the emperor, now for the first time depicted from a Christian perspective, with Constantine reaching out towards God. The current NGC census shows only 4 specimens awarded stars in the mint state range, 3 in MS (including this one), and one higher in CH MS.
