Gold Stater, 8.51 g, 20 mm. Posthumous issue of Byzantium, ca. later 180s BC.
Obv. Head of deified Alexander the Great right, with the horn of Ammon. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, Athena enthroned left, holding Nike crowning Lysimachus’ name, KAΛ control monogram in left field, BY on throne, ornate trident left in exergue.

NGC graded CHOICE AU, Strike 5/5, Surface 3/5, “light marks,” “brushed.” Marinescu cited 6 specimens in 1996, but since then about 10 more have been documented, including coins from two previously undocumented reverse dies.
